ISAP Forum is here to bridge the gap?
Ghana’s public identification ecosystem has developed from multiple sector-specific identification systems towards a more integrated digital identity environment.
ISAP Forum 2026 brings together government institutions, regulators, industry leaders, academics, researchers and students to examine Ghana’s experience with public sector identification systems, their contribution to socioeconomic development, current implementation challenges and the way forward.
The forum will provide a platform for dialogue on integration, interoperability, cybersecurity, data protection, institutional coordination, service delivery and the future of digital identity in Ghana.
This follows the central rationale in the concept note. Ghana has developed several biometric identification systems across sectors, while fragmentation, duplication, interoperability, privacy and institutional coordination have remained important concerns.
